At The Hive Early Learning Centres, our reading program is designed to develop a love for reading in your child. Our activities are centred around promoting early literacy skills, including alphabet recognition, phonics, and comprehension.
We have a library nook at all our centres and are filled with well-loved children’s story books and award-winning children’s literature, which provides your child with many opportunities to increase their language and communication skills.
Each year, our highly-anticipated Book Week is one of the many events we incorporate into our reading program, to ignite an excitement for storytelling. In addition, our library offers books with diverse characters and settings, exposing children to different cultures, languages, and perspectives. This promotes inclusivity and creates a sense of appreciation for diversity.

A week full of storytelling and dressing up, our annual ‘Book Week’ allows children to express their love for stories and their favourite book characters.

Local librarians from our community library pay visits to our centre to read stories and introduce book lending to your child at a young age.

We incorporate stories that feature different cultures and even languages, opening up avenues for diversity and inclusion.

Your child will experience the joy of storytelling in our vibrant reading space. Our cosy nook will encourage your child to delve into new and exciting books and stories.
