We have had such a wonderful experience with The Hive Ashburton. My son has been attending since nursery, and it has been amazing to watch him grow and develop in such a caring and supportive environment. All of the educators genuinely care about the children and treat them with kindness, patience, and respect. I completely trust them, which gives me so much peace of mind as a parent. It’s clear that they are passionate about what they do and truly invested in each child’s wellbeing and development. I especially love the wide range of activities they provide. Everything is thoughtfully planned to support the children’s learning and development, whether it’s social skills, creativity, independence, or early education. I’ve seen so much progress in my son since he started. One thing I really appreciate is how honest and open they are with their feedback. They always communicate clearly about my son’s progress, strengths, and areas for improvement, which helps us support him at home as well. I’m so grateful for the care and dedication of the entire team under Maria’s leadership and would highly recommend this childcare centre to any family looking for a nurturing and trustworthy place for their child.

My child has been going to the Hive ELC in Ashburton for more than a year now. I couldn’t be happier with the staff and the care they take in communicating with us. The learning experiences they provide are varied, age appropriate and foster creativity, problem solving and growth. The food is nutritious. Everyone in the Centre takes pride in their job, and it shows. I always recommend the Hive Ashburton when asked about local childcares.

We cannot speak highly enough of The Hive Ashburton. Our family has absolutely loved our time there. Our daughter was the very first child to attend the centre when it opened, and she stayed with The Hive right through until starting school (with a mix of community kinder as she got older). Being part of the centre from day one has been incredibly special and watching it grow into such a warm, vibrant community has been a joy. The educators are truly outstanding — dedicated, caring, and deeply invested in each child’s development and wellbeing. They go above and beyond every day, and it really shows in how happy, confident and supported the children are. The team has always been so accommodating and flexible, which makes such a difference for working families. The facilities themselves are exceptional: beautifully designed, modern, spotless and filled with thoughtful, engaging spaces for the children to learn, play, and explore. The food deserves a special mention too - it always looks amazing and reflects the care that goes into every part of the centre. Beyond the care and education, we’ve also made lifelong friendships through The Hive, both for our child and for us as parents, which speaks volumes about the strong sense of community they’ve created. We will always be incredibly grateful to The Hive Ashburton for giving our daughter such a wonderful start to her schooling journey. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

I visited yesterday to attend Christmas party and I liked how nice the classrooms were. I had a baby fever with so many cute babies around me. Watching little kids jump, dance and play was really nice and moved my maternal side. Maybe one day I will be there visiting my little cuties. Kudos to all the sincere staff who contribute in shaping the future generation.

The Hive Ashburton is a wonderful environment where children are cared for, engaged and nurtured. Our daughter has been attending for two years and we could not recommend the centre more. Every time I drop her off, she is welcomed by all of the teachers who know her name and are happy to see her. Staff are friendly and approachable, the centre is clean with brand new facilities and learning activities are engaging and varied. The centre manager is always available to answer any questions that you might have and nothing is too much trouble. We highly recommend the Hive as a fantastic early learning centre!

The hive early learning Ashburton is the cleanest, most welcoming daycare centre. Maria who is in charge, is incredible and so understanding, and truly goes out of her way for both the kids and parents. I have no worry’s at all leaving my son in there care. All the educators especially hasha and mishico are so lovely, warm and caring and the kids just adore them! They have a high standard when it comes to cleaning and the centre is always clean and fresh aswell

The Hive Ashburton is an amazing childcare centre! My daughter settled in so easily from her very first day — no tears at all. She absolutely loves going to childcare and even asks to go on weekends! I occasionally help drop off my nephew there and every time I visit, I’m impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. The environment is clean, safe, and full of engaging activities for the children. Our son started at the centre when he was around 4 months old, and we've been so happy with the care he's received. The educators have been incredibly supportive and nurturing from the start. Now, he goes in with a smile every day, exploring, learning, and building lovely relationships with the educators and other children. The centre is clean, comfortable, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We're really grateful to all the friendly staff for taking such good care of our son. Thank you!

I came across the hive through a fb community page - parents were raving about how caring the educators were so I had to see for myself. My son is in the nursery room and I was so nervous sending him to daycare for the first time but Maria and the team have been so supportive and made the transition as smooth as possible for us. My son loves the educators in the nursery room.

My little one has been attending The Hive since they were 8 months joining the nursery room. The staff have been amazingly supportive and caring, making the transition back to work a smooth one for me and the little one. I love being able to check in on the app and see what is going on during the day. They are always doing something to help develop their skills and keep them engaged and happy throughout the day. I visited a number of centres before choosing the Hive I am pleased with the decision.

The hive early learning centre Ashburton is truly amazing, I get up to date reports about my child’s day and can be sure that they are given healthy and appropriate meals from the first week my child and I loved it. They help you get your childcare subsidy and help you if you need it, the hive teachers make your child’s day full of fun and learning

Fantastic centre. Well managed; staff lovely; impeccably clean; clear and frequent communication; near new facility (without the headache of a brand new centre which needs to go through a few teething years). Low staff turnover which in my book is always one of the clearest signs of a great centre. Very very happy.

The best childcare I’ve sent my daughter to ! She has been to 1 other childcare and lots of tours at other childcares and this one was the best by far ! Staff are lovely , they are all so welcoming and always greet you coming in and out of the childcare with smiles on their faces . Plus my daughter loves them ! I usually get a judgy vibe from childcare’s but not this one , this one they are so nice !

My 15m old daughter has been going to the Hive for the last 3 months and my wife and I couldn’t be happier. We went to 8 different centres before this one and it blew the socks off the other places we visited. The staff are all cheerful, nurturing, contentious, and every request we have had for our baby girl has been met with a smile and has been followed through, consistently. It is such a vibrant and yet relaxed environment. Every carer that we’ve seen is brilliant and smiley and bubbly and it fills us with confidence every day. Every worker there seems to love what they do, and it shows. We were very nervous to start daycare and had many discussions about not doing it, but this place has completely changed the way we think and speak about daycare. Easiest 5⭐️ rating I’ll ever give.

My little one has been attending The Hive Early Learning Ashburton since June 2023 - from Nursery to now Kinder. We love it here so far - they offer activities, excursions and participate in festivities that any culture/background can enjoy from. Maria the Director is very passionate not just for the children's well-being but the Parents too 🙂 My little one knows all of the Educators names and love them aswell - he does have a personal favorite and would sometimes tells me, "I miss Jhino". The overall facilities are clean and the staff are always on top of things - there would be days that they may forget to input things in your child's daily charts, however I wouldn't fault them for this as some days, it can be super busy. I have so much respect for all educators and thank them every drop off and pick up. I trust everyone in this centre to leave my child with 🙂

We couldn’t be happier with the Hive Ashburton. All of the educators have always been so welcoming over the years and you can see that they really take the time to get to know your child/ren and their interests. They plan engaging activities for the kids and each day I am updated with photos of my child participating in fun learning activities through the app. Lovely, clean learning spaces (indoor and outdoor). I know both my children feel safe and happy at the Hive Ashburton and have built great relationships with their educators. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a caring and nurturing environment for your little one.

What a wonderful centre! I have been to a number of childcare centres in and around Glen Iris for my two kids and this place is by far the best. The rooms are bright and welcoming, and the staff are so friendly and caring towards the children. It’s clean, the kids come home clean, but they still get so many experiences and opportunities to play! I highly recommend this childcare.

My son has been going to The Hive for 11 months now and we could not be happier. He has such special bond with the staff who have been nothing short of fantastic. We are able to track his day via the app and to see and know he is happy is a big comfort for us.

The team here is so lovely. Our son recently started childcare and while we are working to settle him in at the centre, all the members of the team have been very accommodating and always going extra mile to help with his adjustment. The centre is well-equipped, organised, clean and tidy, which I have noted at every visit. I am so grateful to have found such wonderful centre for my son and getting to know the lovely team! I highly recommend The Hive Early Learning Centre in Ashburton! As a parent, I’ve been incredibly impressed with their nurturing environment and dedicated staff. The centre offers a wide range of engaging activities for children. From creative arts and crafts to outdoor play, it is such a fun to look at the live update photos of where my son is up to everyday, and I am very happy to see him getting exposure to lots of learnings through play-based activities. The educators at The Hive are patient and understanding. They took the time to address my son and my needs as a parent when he was settling in the centre from the very beginning to present, they encourage his development at his own pace and communicate actively with me how it tracks. I have trust and confidence in the centre knowing that my son is in good hands.

My granddaughter goes to The Hive Ashburton. I have only good things to say about this Centre and its staff. The staff are always welcoming. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. My granddaughter loves the educators in the Kinder room. The Centre is immaculate and a pleasure to visit at pick up times.

My daughter recently started at The Hive and I have been so impressed with how well the staff have communicated what is going on to me as a during the day via email with photos and a little write up.

me and my husband had to send our daughter to childcare since she was 6 months old, and as our first child, we were very worried because she was so young. But thanks to the warm care, attention, and love from the educators, my daughter is now healthy and growing up brightly, having turned 3 years old. They (educators) always worry together when she's sick and provide comfort to me as a parent by discussing the challenging aspects of raising a first child. I commend The Hive's educators for their care, passion, and curriculum. My son Myles and me and my husband love The Hive. Ana especially, but all the staff in the baby room including Virginia and Kasrine are amazing. I have no qualms about leaving Myles in their care as I know he is so well looked after. They're so kind and helpful and so efficient. They take the time to know all the babies. Ana even made my husband a birthday card from Myles and it was so lovely and thoughtful. Thank you to all the staff. We are very happy to have you!

Very lovely place the center manager Maria is q very friendly and also the educators are all extremely patient and helpful. This center is an a great place to begin their study.

We've been sending our daughter to The Hive ELC Ashburton since she was 6 months old (now almost 3) and all the staff members and directors, both past and present have been very patient and accommodating from the very beginning of her journey. They genuinely care for the children as if they were their own and offer a very friendly and supportive environment for these children to further grow and develop. My daughter is so fond of her childcare centre that she requests photos of her friends and educators every night and often comments on how she can't wait to go back. Our 2 year old and 4 year old have been going to the Hive Ashburton for over 2 months now and we couldn`t be happier seeing them so happy! All the staff and educators are fantastic! They are so friendly, knowledgable and sincerely caring. Our eldest had a negative experience in his previous daycare and he immediately felt home at The Hive, being warmly welcomed by his educators and his new friends... which was such a relief for us. We just LOVE The Hive ELC Ashburton!! My 2.5 year old daughter has been coming here for almost 4 months. It took a few challenging weeks for her to settle in but all of the educators were so kind and patient. My daughter’s language, numeracy and social skills have developed immensely, and she gets so excited to go to “school”! The educators here are truly so caring and passionate about what they do. The facilities are modern and clean, my daughter enjoys all of the meals they provide, and it is such a beautiful centre for the children to learn and play. This center is wonderful for young learners. I would like to especially mention the best educator, Vaishnavi. She is an exceptional educator who truly stands out. Her qualities of imagination, resourcefulness, charisma, and energy make her an outstanding professional. The program she has developed is nothing short of amazing, offering a wealth of learning opportunities in biology, science, geography, and literacy, all within a fun and engaging environment. Vaishnavi's ability to connect with both children and families is remarkable, creating a strong bond and fostering a sense of enthusiasm and involvement. Our daughter is learning tons from you!

Our son has been going to The Hive Ashburton for a month now and we have had the best experience. Even though he struggled to settle in, the educators have been so kind, patient and caring to him. It only took him 3 weeks to get settled. The staff are so friendly, the facilities are clean and the whole system is organised and thorough.

About 10-weeks ago we moved our almost 3 year old from another center in the area to the Hive Ashburton. He has gone from not wanting to go to care, to not wanting to come home. His counting skills have also improved out of sight. The team are lovely, engaged, they communicate very well what is happening and always have something different for the kids to do. Very glad we made the change.

The Hive ELC is an excellent place for children, with great educators and management. Maris is so friendly and responsive, and she tries hard to enhance the quality of the centre every day.

This is a fantastic place for babies and kids. Brand new with a lot of natural material. They also provide natural and healthy food. No added sugar is important for health-conscious families.

The staff at The Hive ELC Ashburton are very caring, experienced, and warm towards children. The room environment is very inviting and thoughtfully designed for children with nature-inspired equipment. I can feel the fun energy and happiness in the room whenever I am there. They provide very nutritious meals, morning tea, and afternoon tea. I highly recommend The Hive ELC Ashburton.

Beautiful modern Centre with amazing passionate, dedicated, enthusiastic Educators! Delicious food prepared onsite, a great menu which rotates per seasons with a variety of cuisines and alternatives to meet children's dietary requirements. Warm, fun-loving atmosphere and the children are engaged in experiences supported by their educators.

We have had an amazing experience with The Hive Ashburton. The educators are very friendly and encouraging of my daughters development. She loves going to "school" and we never have any issues dropping her off - a true testament to her enjoyment here.
