The Hive Early Learning Centre Geelong is a childcare and kindergarten conveniently located on Portarlington Road in Newcomb, close to Eastern Park, Bellarine Village Shopping Centre, and local schools such as Newcomb Park Primary School. We provide high-quality early education in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Our passionate educators take a personalised approach to each child’s development, encouraging learning through play, curiosity, and meaningful discovery. My name is Ekta. I have called Geelong my home for 8 years now. My core strength is that I am a very compassionate, caring and inclusive person and will consider every possibility to make my team, children and families feel happy and supported.
I have a diploma in Early childhood and in Leadership and Management. I also have a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education and Master of English Literature, Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting. I have been working in the education sector since 2014. I have a beautiful family which includes my supportive husband and two wonderful children.

The new management has brought such a fresh, positive energy to the centre—it’s clear they genuinely care about the children, families, and staff, especially when Ekta called to check in on our daughter after her surgery. We especially want to give a big shoutout to Sarah and Ankit in the Kinder room. They go above and beyond every single day, creating such a warm, engaging, and supportive environment for the kids. The Hive Geelong has been nothing short of incredible. From the moment we walked through the doors, the team made us feel welcomed, valued, and truly understood. We love our daycare days. The girls are greeted with a smile and chat from the ladies at reception. There's always a cuddle if it's a tough goodbye and photos throughout the day to keep me updated. I love listening to them sing new songs they learn from daycare. A great clean and friendly centre.
Our family is really happy with the quality of care and nurturing provided by the educators to our son since starting day care in the toddler one room a few months ago. A beautiful centre and fantastic communication from staff!
My boys have attended The Hive since the start of 2023 and the educators and staff have been absolutely amazing with us. They really do go above and beyond with the care, love and affection for my boys and all the other kids. Best day care centre we have attended. 🙂
I enrolled my son into The hive at 4 months old. Being a first time mum I was so nervous! On arrival at his first day till now I’ve been nothing but happy with the love and care both Jess and Jade show for him! He is so excited every morning I tell him he is going to see the girls. Taylah at drop off and pick ups is always so friendly and can’t cuddle my son quick enough! Thank you so much girls for making this such an easy and an amazing experience for Bowie! He has come leaps and bounds with his learning and development! He will always be known as the “giggle monster” x
Christine is such a wonderful Centre Manager, along with her whole team, the centre is very welcoming and the meals that the children receive always look so delicious yet healthy 🙂
The educators at the hive are great. Really caring and friendly. Kenneth goes above and beyond!! Whenever I need an extra da Christine always makes sure my boys are able to fit in!!! Thank you guys!!
My son has been here for over a year now and he absolutely loves it! He has grown so much since attending, l love getting updates and seeing pictures of him throughout the day playing and interacting with the other children. Great daycare.
Our daughter has attended the Hive since she was 6 months old. She has built special relationships with the educators and is excited to see everyone when she gets there of a morning. She has a lot of stories to tell every day about what she got up to. We love the regular updates and photos throughout the day. Highly recommend!
My son has been at this daycare for almost 3 years. He loves all the educators and talks about them all the time. I couldn’t be happier. We did cloth nappies and they embraced them and were happy to learn. Couldn’t rate them highly enough.
The professional management are wonderful to deal with. Plus the Santa at Christmas did a great job interacting with all the children.

The kindergarten principal and staff are very welcoming, and the educators are dedicated and responsible to my child (in nursery). I feel happy.
This is a loving and very inclusive kindergarten. My child is very happy in the Toddler class. He plays with other children and has made many friends.
My son has only started at the Hive this week & I have to say Christine has being extremely helpful, friendly & informative. The Educators I’ve met so far have being so nice & welcoming. I’d highly recommend the Hive to anyone who is looking for a daycare centre 🫶🏻

We love the Hive! Our daughter loves the educators at the centre and we’ve noticed they have really taken the time to get to know her and us. She always comes away happy and sharing the new songs she’s learnt. The centre is very bright and clean and the play areas are amazing! Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
The educators have been absolutely amazing with my daughter and she loves it there. Kanika, Jess and Jade are her favourites and I'm so grateful for how they care for her.

Both my kids attend the hive early learning centre and so far has been such a welcoming and nurturing environment. Educators are very focused to ensure my children feel safe and loved in their rooms. And biggest compliments to the chef as my kids love eating everything offered to them!!

I love the fact they take the time to email me pics and monitor the progress and his health on a daily basis and they provide healthy food for my son, great environment and so happy to know he is safe when he goes there thank you so much !!
